This page covers your pay, how jobs work, what's expected of you on every clean, and the full onboarding process — from application to your first booked job.
You're a 1099 independent contractor, not a CCS employee. You decide how you get each job done — your methods, your pace — but because client experience and reviews are the core of our business, we hold every job to the quality standard below.
You keep the majority of every cleaning fee, plus all of your tips.
Based on the standard client rate ($180) and deep clean rate ($240), at your 60% share. Actual pay varies with home size, add-ons, and travel.
| Jobs / week | Standard cleans only | Deep cleans only | With add-ons |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 jobs | $540 | $720 | $650 – $860 |
| 10 jobs | $1,080 | $1,440 | $1,300 – $1,730 |
| 15 jobs | $1,620 | $2,160 | $1,940 – $2,590 |
| 20 jobs | $2,160 | $2,880 | $2,590 – $3,460 |
Estimates only — for planning purposes, not a guarantee. "With add-ons" reflects jobs that include extras like window cleaning, oven cleaning, or laundry service, which increase your per-job payout. Job volume depends on the availability you set and what you accept.
You're paid out weekly, every Friday, via direct deposit to the bank account on file.
Come prepared with your own supplies. No specific brand is required — if a client prefers their own products be used, you're welcome to use theirs instead.

All-purpose cleaner

Recommended, not mandatory.
Set your own schedule in the contractor portal, and accept or decline jobs based on what works for you. There's no minimum number of jobs required.
Once a cleaning is confirmed, you must notify CCS at least 24 hours before the scheduled time to cancel or reschedule.
Repeated late cancellations may affect your standing and eligibility for future jobs.
You choose how you get the job done — but every clean needs to meet this bar. Client experience and reviews are the foundation of CCS's reputation, so professionalism and communication matter as much as the clean itself.
All surfaces dusted and wiped down
Floors vacuumed/mopped, no visible debris
Kitchen: counters, sink, stovetop, and appliance exteriors wiped
Bathrooms: toilet, sink, tub/shower, mirrors cleaned and disinfected
Trash emptied, liners replaced
Beds made / linens handled per client instructions, if applicable
Client's home left as found, aside from the cleaning itself — nothing moved or misplaced
No smoking on client property. Arrive on time, or communicate promptly if you're running behind. Be mindful of pets and children in the home. Always treat the client's space and belongings with care.
Client ratings and feedback are tied to your account. Persistent low ratings or complaints can affect your eligibility for future jobs, so treat every clean like it's building your reputation.
Recommended, not a strict uniform — use this as a guide for what’s appropriate on the job.
Clean, presentable polo, t-shirt, or scrubs
Jeans, slacks, khakis, joggers, or knee-length shorts — comfortable is fine, just keep it professional
Closed-toe shoes, always
Hair tied back, no strong perfume/cologne
No visible offensive graphics or language
CCS is insured and bonded, but this coverage applies only to CCS-connected cleanings — it does not cover any independent or outside cleaning work you do on your own.
We recommend carrying your own business insurance for your protection.
You may not solicit your own independent services to clients you were connected with through CCS.
If a client wants to specifically rebook you, that's done through your personalized booking link — not a direct or outside arrangement.
A quick call to get to know you and answer initial questions.
Complete your W-9, ID, and SSN or EIN through Homebase.
We run a standard background check before you're cleared to accept jobs.
